Our prints are matted with light to medium-toned mats, carefully chosen to enhance and add depth to the image. We cut these mats ourselves and pass the savings directly on to you.

Smaller images (up to 16 x 20 matted size) have double mats of the same color. We use white bevels for landscapes and black bevels for wildlife, although there are a few exceptions.

Larger images (22x27 matted size and higher) are usually matted with a light-toned neutral outer mat and a narrow darker-colored inner mat. A "V-groove" is cut into the outer mat to add elegance to the finished piece.

This sample page shows you what our matting styles look like, but please keep in mind that the colors you see on screen can only be an approximation of the true colors, since every computer monitor renders colors slightly differently.

Based on compliments from our customers, we're confident you'll like the way your matted prints look. However, if you have a very different matting style in mind we suggest you order the photo as "Print Only" and work with your local frame shop. Either way, your purchase is guaranteed.
